    Medical Editor

    Ryan joined Synergy Vision as a Medical Editor. Ryan gained his degree in Biotechnology from the University of Nottingham and specialised in Genetic Engineering, with significant laboratory and research experience.

    Ryan’s previous role within a major pharmaceutical company was in an administrative/editorial capacity, providing him with experience of projects and therapy areas. He also spent several years in a pharmaceutical data analysis role, dealing with prescription statistics for major pharmaceutical clients. This provided him with comprehensive problem solving skills and exceptional attention to detail, which  serve him well in his role as Medical Editor.

  • Sorcha Ferris

    Managing Director Synergy Vision Ireland

    Sorcha joined Synergy Vision as Commercial Strategy Director in January 2009. She is a commercial specialist with a wealth of pharmaceutical experience, having worked in a variety of therapeutic franchises and international markets.

    Sorcha has performed strategic roles at local operating company and global levels. Her most recent role was as Marketing Manager in the Vaccines division of the GSK UK where she lead the strategic brand planning process and was responsible for leading, managing and motivating the marketing team. Her expertise, enthusiasm and attention to detail, perfectly position her to manage and deliver large scale projects with the utmost dedication and integrity

    In May 2011, Synergy Vision opened an office in Ireland with Sorcha Ferris and Ffyona Dawber as Joint Managing Directors. With her vast commercial experience, Sorcha will be the primary contact for clients in Ireland and all projects will be supported by the experienced team in the London office.

  • Corinne Whitehead

    Project Manager

    Corinne joined Synergy Vision with 12 years’ events management experience and an invaluable knowledge of the events industry.

    She has organised a wide range of events for the pharmaceutical, banking and IT industries, from small intimate programmes to major logistical events for up to 3,500 delegates. Several of these have received industry awards for their logistical complexity.

    Corinne’s passion for discovering the best features of a destination and her attention to detail mean that she has the ability to make any event a success.

  • Lauren Donaldson

    Medical Writer

    Lauren joined Synergy Vision after receiving her PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh. She also has a Masters degree in Chemistry and previous industrial experience from her time as a Research Chemist at a major pharmaceutical company.

    Since joining Synergy Vision, Lauren has worked on a diverse range of medical writing and communications projects. These include managing a series of advisory boards, preparing conference reports, and developing marketing materials, speaker briefs, patient leaflets, video resources and website content. She has also written a number of academic publications.

    Dedicated to furthering her medical writing skills, Lauren is a member of the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) and is currently enrolled on their professional development programme.

  • Eileen Gallagher

    Associate Director

    Eileen Gallagher joined the company in 2008. Eileen has a background in the pharmaceutical industry with 11 years’ training and communication management experience gained within the Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Pharmacology business areas of a major pharmaceutical company.

    Eileen excels in formulating and delivering creative project solutions and is an ICF accredited Life Coach.

  • Josephine Gilbride

    Project Manager

    Josephine graduated from the University of Cork with a degree in Economics and an Hdip in Marketing and Management. She gained an interest in Events Management and Communication while participating in the organisation of a number of charity events at University. She has since completed a diploma in Event Management and PR with the Fitzwilliam Institute Group London.

    Josephine’s role involves the comprehensive facilitation of Synergy Vision events, including venue sourcing, delegate transport and accommodation, Key Opinion Leader management and the management of on-site logistics. Her expertise and enthusiasm are well-suited to the ever-changing and innovative environment of Synergy Vision.

  • Ffyona Dawber

    Managing Director and Founder

    With over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Ffyona has played key roles in the pre- and post-launch development of various high profile pharmaceutical products. She has clinical training, and has also worked in the fields of clinical pharmacology and post-marketing research.

    Ffyona’s wide-ranging background gives her valuable insight into the needs of clients and draws the respect of international key thought leaders. She founded Synergy Vision to fill a gap in the market, for a unique agency that understands the needs of the pharmaceutical industry, and provides comprehensive scientific and events management.

     

  • Gerry Hagan

    Medical Advisor

    Gerry is a respected advisor to the pharmaceutical industry, with expertise in the field of COPD lung disease. He plays a key role at Synergy Vision, advising on the medical content of materials.

    Gerry began his career in medicine, quickly becoming an influential practising physician specialising in respiratory disease. He then moved into the pharmaceutical sector, where he led R&D teams and played key leading roles in several COPD clinical trials including TORCH and ECLIPSE.

    He presently holds honorary positions as ‘Industry expert’ with the UK Government’s National Service Framework in COPD and the European Union’s COST programme in COPD exacerbations.

  • Maria Henrique

  • Richard Gonputh

    Administrative Assistant

    Richard supports the Synergy Vision team by managing day-to-day office administration and facilitating the smooth-running of in-house company meetings. His IT expertise makes him ideally suited to maintain  our computer systems and technical requirements.

    Richard holds a HND in computers and a degree in computer networking. Before joining Synergy Vision, Richard gained hands-on experience by volunteering for the charity Home-Start, and doing IT-related work that involved creating databases and installing software.

  • Sarah Nelson

    Principal Medical Writer

    Sarah leads the medical writing team at Synergy Vision, overseeing a variety of writing projects. Sarah draws on several years of experience as a medical writer, working on a wide variety of materials including scientific publications, educational slide kits, product brochures and leaflets. She supports clients and key thought leaders in preparing the scientific content for meetings, ranging from advisory boards to large congress symposia.

    With a strong scientific background - including a PhD from Cambridge University and two postdoctoral fellowships - Sarah’s work is always grounded in the science that underlies strategic and educational messages.

  • Rashme Cardoza

    Account Manager

    Rashme joins Synergy Vision as an Account Manager. She has a Masters degree in Biotechnology and Developmental Cell Biology from the University of Sussex. Rashme is experienced in the field of neurology and cell signalling , with research undertaken at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School’s Research Division and the MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology.

    Rashme brings 7 years’ experience of research and business development within the science and biomedical sectors into the medical communications arena.  She has previously worked as an Account Manager in the cardiovascular, oncology, neurology and immunology therapy areas. At Synergy Vision, Rashme will use her expertise in delivering projects for major international clients across different therapy areas.

  • Teresa Watson

    Finance Manager

    Teresa joined Synergy Vision in 2010 as Finance Manager. She is responsible for managing the company's accounts and finances, and works in conjunction with the rest of our operations team to ensure the smooth running of the business.

    Teresa has over 27 years accounting and finance experience in various sectors, predominantly the advertising and construction sectors, making her well suited to the dynamic environment at Synergy Vision.

  • Caroline Davies

    Client Liaison

    Caroline has a degree in pharmacy and has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 15 years.

    With a background working for a CRO and large pharmaceutical company, Caroline has experience in clinical research in various therapeutic areas and numerous geographical locations. She has also managed full drug development programmes for respiratory and neurological compounds.

    Caroline’s valuable experience communicating with pharmaceutical experts and partners plays a key role in the expansion of the Synergy Vision business.

  • Pavan Doidge

    Senior Account Manager

    Pavan worked for 8 years at GE Healthcare in sales, marketing and communication roles. She has experience in both tactical and strategic marketing communications at local and global levels within the healthcare industry.

    Pavan has a strong scientific background – with a PhD from the Department of Medicine and also a Masters in Immunology, both from the University of Birmingham. Her academic history and industry experience coupled with her enthusiasm and integrity will help ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest standard.

  • Pummy Seehra

    Account Director

    Pummy joined Synergy Vision in March 2011, and has a total of 20 years’ experience in medium and large Pharma. A background which spans sales, training, management and 10 years in a variety of senior marketing roles delivers great client insight in a variety of therapeutic areas.

    Pummy naturally builds enduring relationships with KOLs and world thought leaders and enjoys the challenge of delivering innovative medical education solutions which have resulted in being awarded a number of industry awards.

    Pummy’s experience and knowledge helps ensure all projects are delivered with integrity, on time and to the highest standards.

     

  • Yvonne Fok

    Medical Writer

    Prior to joining Synergy Vision in April 2011, Yvonne worked as a Regulatory Writer for a phase I CRO, in which she gained experience in a wide range of therapeutic areas such as sexual health and reproduction, diabetes, obesity and pain.

    Yvonne graduated from the University of Sheffield with a MPhil in Oral Neuroscience, and from King's College London with an MSc in Biomedical Sciences Research (Neurobiology), specialising in multiple sclerosis.

    Together with a strong academic background and extensive research experience, Yvonne has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, which will compliment her existing ability in medical writing.  

     

  • Alexander Kroll

    Medical Writer

    Alex graduated from University College London with a degree in Physiology and an MSc in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering, where he completed a research project on the cold preservation of blood vessels at the Department of General Surgery, Royal Free Hospital. Prior to joining Synergy Vision, he previously spent more than 2 years as an editor for a major biomedical publisher, working on a portfolio of high-end medical journals spanning Alzheimer’s disease, breast cancer, rheumatology and intensive care medicine.

    Alex’s academic background coupled with a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills, make him a valued addition to the medical writing team.

  • Diana Gudeliene

    Office Manager / Personal Assistant

    Diana joins Synergy Vision as an Office Manager and Personal Assistant. She brings her office administration and management experience from a range of different business backgrounds.

    Before joining the company, Diana was an office manager and personal assistant to the managing director of a property consultancy business, and prior to that, a PA within a medical company.

    Diana gained her diploma in Restoration of Documents from Vilnius Technology College, Lithuania and is currently studying for a degree in English Language and Literature.

  • Emily Dunn

    Account Executive

    Emily joins Synergy Vision as an account executive to support the team with the production of promotional materials.

    Emily has vast marketing experience, predominantly in the entertainment industry, having previously worked at the BBC and a professional acting school as Marketing Co-ordinator. Not only does she bring along her experience in branding of promotional items, desktop publishing and managing website content and layout, but also her extensive experience in customer liaison. 

  • Julie Nelson

    Project Manager

    Julie joins Synergy Vision with several years’ event and project management experience working within the medical communications industry.

    With excellent communication, organisation and customer service skills, Julie consistently presents her work to a high standard and is extremely motivated and driven individual making her an asset on any project.

  • Rich Baptista

    Strategic Alliance Director

    Rich joined Synergy Vision as Strategic Alliance Director in July 2011. He is a business operations expert with over 14 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. His previous role as Head of Contracts and Proposals for EMEA and AP at global CRO, Quintiles involved advising customers on key cost drivers and efficiencies to help them navigate current challenges such as impending patent cliffs and emerging markets.  

    Prior to this he spent seven years at Chiltern, a midsized CRO, rapidly progressing from Business Development Executive level to Global Director of Budgets and Proposals. He also acted as Marketing Manager for three years along side his other roles at Chiltern, and his CRO work is underpinned by five years’ in-house pharmaceutical experience. 

    Rich’s experience in clinical research covers all phases and many therapeutic areas, spanning Big Pharma and CRO, operations and business development. This means that he is able to understand our customers’ needs and advise on the correct package of services to deliver effective and efficient solutions.

  • Natalie Ferguson

    Medical Writer

    Natalie joined the Synergy Vision medical writing team in October 2011, having graduated from Queens University Belfast with a degree in Biomedical Science. Whilst studying at Queens Natalie carried out a year-long laboratory based research project in the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology (CCRB) Belfast.

    This scientific and academic experience coupled with Natalie’s exceptional interpersonal communication skills makes her a strong addition our growing medical writing team.

     

  • Caroline Loder

    Senior Medical Writer

    Caroline joined Synergy Vision in October 2011 after working as a Regulatory Medical writer in the pharmaceutical industry for over 6 years. Her experience covers all phases of clinical research and numerous therapy areas including; cardiology, ophthalmology, neurology, urology, anti‑infectives, gastroenterology, oncology and respiratory.

    Caroline gained her BSc in Biochemistry and Microbiology and PhD in Bacterial Genetics and Physiology from the University of Sheffield. She also completed two postdoctoral research positions before making the transition to medical writing.

    With excellent writing and project management skills, substantial academic and research background and extensive pharma experience, Caroline makes a valuable contribution to the medical writing team.

     

  • Fiona Rowland

    Accounts Assistant

    Fiona joined Synergy Vision in September 2011 to assist in the Accounts Department. With nearly 20 years accounting and finance experience within a wide range of industries in both the UK and South Africa, including 6 years within the healthcare sector - working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced and growing business environment similar to that at Synergy Vision.  

    Fiona’s knowledge and previous experience will help ensure that the Accounts Department continues to run smoothly and efficiently as the company continues to grow. 

  • Hannah Hopkins

    Events Co-ordinator

    Hannah joined Synergy Vision in January 2012 to fill the role of Event Coordinator. She joined us as a recent graduate from the University of Sheffield with a BA Hons degree in Business Management and a keen interest in events management.

    Hannah gained previous experience working at number of events whilst at University within the hospitality industry and as result brings strong organisational and interpersonal skills to Synergy Vision. 

     

  • Jennifer Cann

    Medical Writer

    Jennifer joined Synergy Vision as a Medical Writer in January 2012, having spent the 18 months prior to this as Medical Editor working across therapeutic areas including oncology, mood disorders and tinnitus.

    Prior to her agency experience she worked in an editorial capacity within biomedical journal publishing, focussing on areas such as ophthalmology, and respiratory and infectious diseases.

    Jennifer graduated from the University of Durham with a BSc in Natural Sciences specialising in Biological Studies. Her academic knowledge and previous biomedical work experience coupled with her precocious editorial skills makes for a solid addition to the existing team.

     

  • Manoj Mehta

    Senior Medical Writer

    Manoj joined Synergy Vision in January 2012 with several years’ experience as a medical writer. He has worked on a variety of materials including scientific publications, educational slide kits, as well as preparing the scientific content for investigator meetings to congress symposia. His experience covers numerous therapy areas including; diabetes, cardiology, oncology, haematology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, and anti‑infectives.

    Manoj graduated from the University of Reading with a BSc in Biochemistry and Physiology, and from Brunel University with an MSc in Medical Biochemistry, specialising in Alzheimer’s disease, as well as gaining a PhD in Atherosclerosis at Imperial College London. He also completed two postdoctoral research positions, including research in ovarian cancer at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, NY, USA, before making the transition to medical writing.

    A strong academic and research background with extensive medical writing experience, combined with strong communication skills and excellent project management skills, makes him a valued addition to the medical writing team.

  • Emma Andralojc

    Business Development Associate

    Emma joined Synergy Vision in January 2012, after gaining her degree in Microbiology at the University of Leeds. During her degree she completed a dissertation on the public understanding of swine flu, and gained insight into medical and pharmaceutical industries.

    Prior to joining synergy vision Emma developed her business experience by establishing her own small enterprise. With her education, experience and excellent communication skills, she is well placed to understand customers’ needs and makes a strong addition to the Business Development team.
