Synergy Vision – still a Great Place to Work

Is SV one of the UK’s Best Workplaces? A group of us are off to the 2018 UK’s Best Workplaces Awards later this evening to find out. In 2016, we were recognised as the UK’s 6th Best Workplace (small category, up to 50 employees), and ranked top among medical communications agencies. Two years later, we know that we have once again made it into the top 25 in the same category and await our final ranking, which will be announced at the awards dinner. We hope that our ongoing investment in creating a positive company culture will be recognised once more. What is it about Synergy Vision that makes us stand out from many other agencies in the fast-paced medical communications industry? As a veteran of SV, having been at the company for over 8 years, one of the things that has kept me at the company is the ongoing opportunity for career progression. My role has grown with the company and medical writing team, allowing me to develop managerial and leadership competencies. Along with others in the leadership team, I enjoy helping others to develop their skills and make a similar transition. I’m often impressed by the commitment and ambition present in many of our team members, which drives us all to strive for high quality in our work. Billy Jenkins, SV’s editor responsible for writing our UK’s Best Workplaces award entry commented “What stood out as I was putting together our entry was the huge number of things we have to be proud of, which make SV a great place to work. Our social committee is great, arranging fun activities for the year ahead – including picnics, BBQs, yoga, sports and film/games nights – to offset all the hard work!” Eileen Gallagher, who recently assumed the position of Managing Director of SV added “At SV, we strive for a positive work culture that recognises and rewards hard work. Our staff surveys and our IIP ranking (Gold) consistently show we are getting this right, but we always consider how we can make SV an even better place to work. Entering the Best Workplaces Awards has helped us to focus on and celebrate everything we do, and we’re confident that this will be recognised by the judges!”   By Sarah Nelson, Editorial Director
